YOUTH DANCER OF THE YEAR NOMINEE
RVA DANCE AWARDS FEATURE
My Dance Journey:
Beginning my dance career at the age of 2, I danced on the recreational level until I was 7 years old. Since then I have been a part of a pre-professional training program. While continuing my dance training at J’adore Dance, for the past six years I have been an assistant and for 4 years, an instructor. In the course of the competitive season, I attend the following conventions: Dance Makers, Hollywood Vibe, New York City Dance Alliance, and the Break the Floor Productions. During a week I tend to dance between 7-10 hours, and on weekends it varies. I train under the instruction of: Lauren Czajkowski-Gareau, Katie Hundley-Czajokowski, Miguel Perez, Nicole Shaver, Paul Ghiselin, Deandra Clarke, and Michele Goad. Without a doubt, I am proud to say I am finishing my 16th and senior year dancing with J’adore Dance.
Why I Am Excited/Honored To Be Nominated For Youth Dancer Of The Year? :
To be considered for this award is a huge honor, I would just like to thank the community of Richmond for nominating me for Youth Dancer Of The Year. I’m so excited to be nominated with all of the amazing dancers in our community because we are all equally dedicated to our craft. At different points on my dance journey, I have danced with all of the young ladies I am nominated with. I would have never thought that I would be considered for this award. It is so incredible to see that my passion, hard work, and dedication I put towards dance is showing.
Fun Fact:
My favorite hairstyle of mine is the “windows down speakers loud” listening to country music due.
